This robe isn't super plushy soft right out of the box as I was hoping, but overall the quality of fabric and construction seems quite good. The fit is what I was looking for--big enough to wrap around my middle-aged apple-shaped figure, long enough to cover me up, and with sleeves that turn back to keep them out of the food when I'm scrambling eggs for breakfast. The monogram is high quality--stitched all the way through with a smooth front and back and no loose threads. There is a single belt loop on each side rather than the double belt loop that some robes have. The belt loop might sit too high for a tall guy. I got the XL and the belt sits at a comfortable spot on me. Note that there is no inner tie to keep the inside flap from flapping open. Small matter than can be easily remedied with some twill tape stitched into place. I'm hoping the terry cloth gets a little softer with washing. This robe is luxurious!! It is so soft and so enveloping. It is incredibly well made. I adore the small accents and craftsmanship in design that make this robe several notches above the 4 robes I already own. Firstly, the white color is so pristine and fresh. It is iconic with idea of a rejuvenating and cleansing spa retreat. The fabric is velvety soft but has a fresh and light feel due to the ribbed texture. All of the trim is piped in an accented pale grey and white candy cane stripe cotton ribbon. It’s utterly precious. The length hits below my knee (I’m 5’6”). I got an XL as I usually would for comfortable loose sleeping apparel but could definitely stick with a regular size Large.
