I purchased these stepping stones for my 20-month old daughter, who loves to use her new skills of running, climbing, and balancing! She gets creative, often arranging them on the rug and helping her toys balance and fall off of them. However, there’s a reason why her toys ‘fall’ as they play so did she. Unfortunately, the bases of these stepping stones are uneven. You can see in my photos how they are wavy, not flat. So as she places her small feet on the edge of these stones, they flip over! That makes them dangerous I believe it’s a design flaw. Furthermore, the small red piece is smooth on top with no traction (we end up just playing with it upside-down, as a ‘bowl’), and the remaining pieces just have large bumps that are uncomfortable for bare feet. On the plus side, they are brightly colored as pictured, and are made from strong plastic. If given the chance, I would not purchase these stepping stones again.. Carolyn. Leland, NC.
