Toile De Jouy Standard Cotton Coverlet / Bedspread Set

This is far below what I expected. The quality is horrible. Very thin and very stiff. I washed it hoping it would soften up —and it was one big wrinkle. I should have returned it!

The packaging that was used to ship was totally insufficient for shipping - became totally ripped in the transit process as it arrived torn open in parts, exposing the contents to whatever was around them during shipping. The coverlet was hanging out of the torn packing. From a quality perspective, there is not a "holding stitch" to keep the batting in place and it is "free floating"; I have to assume this will be a piece that will not last long, as with each cleaning or wash, (it is supposed to be machine washable), the batting will move around and no longer lay flat. For the price, I expected so much more and am really disappointed.

The cream background and blue toile are a perfect combination. The other coverlets with white backgrounds were more striking. The outside feels a bit like linen, and the underside is smooth.
