The product is not as described and is defective.
On the Wayfair.com site, there is a boastful product description of the
Woodbridge Freestanding Soaking Acrylic Bathtub.
#1. Poor craftsmanship!!
- Underneath the bathtub is what appears to be some food or animal cartilage,
the manufacturer placed glazed or sealant over the
particle instead of removing it, which has a distinctive odor.
- There are areas underneath the tub where no protective coating
is applied.
The reinforced with ASHLAND resin is missing in several spots.
- There are brown stains that are transferring
-The stain-resistant, scratch-resistant surface is untrue,
as there are cuts in the tub.
- The bathtub that I received did not have a high gloss finish.
- The Drain is NOT centered as pictured
causing water to leak out slowly.
- The Wayfair site fails to mention the thickness of the acrylic, which is 5mm-8mm,
is hollow underneath.
This bathtub is NOT suitable for two persons bathing unless they are children or under 110 pounds.
I submitted a survey requesting to be contacted by Wayfair,
no one has bothered to contact me, I received unfair customer service.
-- The product was first sent without the drain and overflow,
when calling to request it, Wayfair representative Paula (on a recored call), claimed over and over again, it did NOT come with one... I kindly asked her several times to please read the product description.
When calling a second time
Wayfair customer service, the guy claimed not knowing the headquarter’s direct phone number or email address,
as well as stating they did not receive the “Report the Problem” documentation sent three times, in place for customers to give details concerning the product.
I am certain Woodbridge is a great company, however, the description of the tub that I received is over exaggerated and overpriced.
