Although there were many reviews about this product arriving broken and damaged, I decided to take a chance because I have been pleased with all my previous Wayfair orders. SO disappointed when this arrived broken just like many of the reviewers had described. Maybe this is a shipping issue, but Wayfair needs to correct it after this many bad reviews. Sadly, I will think twice before ordering furniture from Wayfair in the future. This is unacceptable.

I ignored the other reviews that mentioned receiving the chest damaged and ordered it anyway because it was just so cute. Bad mistake! The first one arrived looking like it had been dragged behind the delivery truck. When I opened the box (that wasn't hard...it was halfway opened already) the middle drawer bird panel was detached from the drawer. To Wayfair's credit, they tried to send a replacement panel but ended up sending a whole chest, without charging me for it. The second chest came in a box that was almost pristine, but when I opened it, the chest was in worse shape than the first one! Two of the drawer panels were detached from their drawers, and the one that remained attached had somehow gotten off its track and I had to use a hammer to get it open. Gorilla Duct tape, wood glue, and a hammer have enabled me to get something useful out of this purchase, but really, should I have to work so hard to make a $550 chest useable? If I could give negative stars I would, and yet, I'm not sure how much of this is Wayfair's problem and instead the manufacturer, Crestview, because both chests originated from Memphis when they were shipped, and that's where the manufacturer is located. In case you've made it this far, DO NOT BUY THIS CHEST. I'm telling you, you'll need therapy or a strong drink before you're done with it.

Cabinet came filthy(handprints on it). Poor craftsmanship- wood separated at front corner. Poor paint job, white globs on black paint. Drawers hard to open, no rails. For the price I expected more, so returned

Top drawer is completely broken and bottom drawer isn’t straight

The only good detail about this chest of drawers is the 3D birds on the face of the drawers. But if we were to buy this at a yard sale, we might pay $10 for it. I don't know if it was the packing (zero protection) or the delivery (FedEx was very hard on it) or just that it was poorly assembled with tiny brad nails, but it arrived it pretty bad shape. 2 of the drawer front panels were apparently kneed in and lying inside the drawer. Two of the drawer fronts were pulled away from the drawer sides. We only want it for the mud room, and we are handy, so we spent an afternoon putting it back together, but it was a job since there is no way to pull the drawers out that we could see so we could more easily reconstruct them. You also have to add the feet yourself, which is no big deal really. All in all, it is an outrageously over-priced item, but we loved the unique bird fronts, so we decided it was worth rebuilding it ourselves.

I fell in love with this chest and was so excited to receive it. Unfortunately, it arrived broken, 3 of the four legs had broken off and the frame was damaged. Wayfair very quickly replaced the chest for me, for which I am very grateful. However, the second chest ALSO arrived badly damaged. One leg broken off, the frame broken, the middle drawer face knocked in, paint chipped, the parts coming apart with sharp nails exposed. the black spray paint inside the drawers comes off on your hands, even wiping it down doesn't stop the transfer of the ink. you would have to cover the insides with contact paper or something to not ruin clothes. The chest is adorable, but not well made and not well shipped. Very disappointing.

Arrived broken but once fixed, its beautiful and works well in my wntryway.

Maybe it doesn't need to be assembled, but it sure does need to be put back together. The packaging was in good shape, so the only conclusion is that it was actually shipped in disrepair. A leg was off, one front panel was totally disattached, and the others were loose with staples sticking out. When I ordered this, I called to make sure it would be delivered to my apartment. I am elderly and live alone. I was willing to pay a shipping for that to happen. Instead, it was dropped off at the building's mail room, and I had to arrange for someone to bring it to my apartment. If I had known what terrible shape it was in, I would have just returned it.

This chest is beautiful, the quality, craftsmanship and finish is more than perfect. The birds add happiness to life.

Darling chest. Made kind of flimsily so it needs to be an accent piece rather than something used every day. Mine fits perfectly into a space in my bathroom.
