Electric Cooktop with 5 Elements JEP5030STSS

It's just ok. I assumed that because they put the knobs at the front, they would have taken pan handles into account... they did not. I'm constantly fighting which way my pans are situated in order to move them. I also assumed that you'd be able to easily use multiple burners at a time. I cannot easily fit two 10" pans on the two 10" burners at the same time. I'm feeding a family of six, and purposely bought a cooktop with more burners, so it's frustrating not being able to easily use them. Also, watch for burner size... I didn't realize that the two large burners are more like 9" and 10". I would have preferred a 10" and 12", but that's on me for not checking. I do like that the "melt" and "keep warm" burners do get fairly hot, and I can use them for cooking, as well.

Love the knobs being on the front. Having 5 burners instead of 5 is a big plus!

So excited about this purchase, I’ve been wanting a stovetop with 5 burners and finally got one, installation went smooth and stovetop works great, got it on a good sale price

This is the update from my original review. From 2/17/2025. Original install. The surface is falling apart. The painted DOT mesh is very heat sensitive. Hot pots when moved over the surface causes complete discoloration.

Stove looks great, didn't use it yet, but we ready to! Lol

Thrilled with my new cooktop. Installers were amazing!

Installed today on Feb. 17; 2025. Happy with GE Quality. My last GE 30” cooktop lasted 12 years. Replaced - direct drop in with the previous unit. Instead of four burners now we have five burners. Good improvement.

Love this appliance. Straight forward installation.
