We had the HVAC company install this. It is not a direct wire it is a plug in. The fan is not loud even on high and the lights are perfect. We love it. It fits perfectly in our newly remodeled kitchen

Havent installed as of yet. Was going to install it in another house, but purchased another house and in the process of remodeling the kitchen . Like the look.

We've had the range for less than two years and the on/off range speed selector is faulty. A month or so ago we couldn't get the fan to shut off without toggling back and forth between the high and low speeds. Now the vent fan turns on and it only turns off when switching it to the high-speed position. It's a shame because we love the asthetic of the hood and found that the fan did a fine job of removing smoke and steam when it was working.

Not the best unit but can't beat the price.
