It’s a lightweight polyester mattress protector. It’s waterproof, and it’s also machine washable. It has a strong six sided zipper which is great because it makes it easy to cover the mattress. It’s fits over my 12 in mattress. And it always stays in place .

This protector is nice because it completely covers the mattress, so it never slips off from too much movement (top and bottom of the mattress is completely encased and zippered in) however, because of this, it’s a little difficult to put on a large bed size with only 1 person. 4 stars instead of 5 primarily because the underside material is a bit plasticy and the cover makes some noise as a result (tried to show this in one of the pictures where you can see some shininess). Overall this serves its purpose.

This cover didn't work for me. The fabric is really nice - feels silky with a beautiful sheen - and it's well made with no loose stitching - but I had to remove it from my bed after 3 weeks. It didn't fit my mattress correctly even though the measurements matched my mattress, so there was a lot of sliding around. The waterproof fabric would catch air underneath and make sounds like a satin taffeta underskirt each time I moved in the bed. It just led to constant pulling & smoothing to keep from sleeping on massive wrinkles. I'd have to re-tuck every single morning... It might work well on a larger mattress if it fit snugly, but I couldn't tolerate it anymore on mine.
