These pillow shams were beautiful upon opening the packaging. They have a wonderful zipper enclosure, which I was excited about! I followed the washing instructions of using a delicate cycle, and air dry. I even went as far as to turn inside out and use a baby detergent with cold water. Upon removing from the washer and turning right side out I immediately noticed the splotchiness of the fabric where they couldn’t even hold up to a delicate cycle with a gentle detergent…. Maybe other people don’t wash linens and decorative shams before placing on their beds? I’m at a loss after spending $130 on what has become a tie-dyed velvet set of pillow shams.
