Like these for privacy and because they are top down, still provide plenty of light.

I enjoyed these for the first two years but the durability of the parts was short lived, the plastic mechanism broke and its more expensive to fix than to replace.

Unfortunately, the plastic bracket in the main valance broke on 2 of the 3 I ordered within 2 years. I now need to replace all 3 because I can't get the same style. Very disappointed in their durability.

These shades are dangerous! I would give one star now. Original post Aug 2023: Ordered 2 shades in September 2020, installed by myself in my bedroom. All was good until about 3-4 wks ago, when one of the shades "exploded". It happened in the early morning of a day thunderstorms were expected, and when I awoke to a loud cracking sound, I thought it was lightening hitting close by. Turns out the spring inside the top railing flew out and landed under my bed. Thankfully I was not hit by the spring. Anyway, I like the shades so I've ordered a replacement and just hope there are no more explosions. Update: The 2nd shade I bought in 2020 exploded on 3/25/24. Again it was early morning and sounded like lightning hitting close by, and scared my dog who was asleep in her crate. Thankfully the spring did not hit either of us while we were sleeping. The spring blew the end cap off the right side of the head rail, moved the entire shade 2” to the left, and scattered plastic bits around the room.

I’ve had these blinds since Oct 2020 (16 months) two of the mechanisms have now failed! Plastic pieces have broken, they will not stay up! I bought 3 of them for my front window, over 400. I think I’ll be finding something else.

We purchased 4 of these blinds. After two years, 3 out of the 4 have had the internal strings snap causing the blind to no longer retract up. They’re completely useless now. We didn’t even pull them down/up that often and we were always gentle when doing so. We tried to find a way to fix them but it doesn’t seem possible. I can’t believe how defective they are for how much they cost.

Shades work well. However, I bought 8 shades and 7 of the 8 I have purchased have broken. The plastic pieces that the springs are attached to have popped out of the shades so they are useless. The cord attached to spring will no longer raise or lower the shade. Wayfair has replaced 6 of the shades during the first year. The seventh broke over the weekend.

Purchased almost 2 yrs ago even after I read the reviews. Everything was OK until Monday 02/01/22. Spring came flying out and hit my plants, luckily nothing broken. Then the other shade broke today 2/03/23, this time the spring went flying out of the top across the room and hit my dog!! This time I'm upset because my dog has a large knot on her head!!! I know it's 1yr past warranty, but this is wrong on so many levels!!!

Easy to install and blocks the light well but does not last long. This shade stopped going up after a few months. For this price point I expect better quality.

I first gave these 5 stars when they were installed. The previous reviews were mostly positive so I bought 7 for different size windows at my beach house. After a year, 4 are broken. I was sitting in my living room, heard a pop and looked at the shade. The string was broken. Wayfair has promised to replace 3 (I’ve received one replacement, the other two are on back order) one is ok but won’t attach at the top. I’m asking for another replacement today. I wanted the top down bottom up because our windows face the morning and afternoon sun. We could get sunlight depending on the time of day.
