Update The blanket stopped working after two months. My daughter received this for Christmas. So far it warms up nicely. And feels very nice and soft. I love this electric blanket. The Sherpa is super soft and the other side is super soft too. I love that it has 10 settings for the perfect coziness! I replaced the one I have now because it was old, 4 years and I was worried I was pressing my luck as they usually last about a year or two. I wash it in the washer with gentle soap and gentle cycle-NO liquid softener. I dry it in the dryer on medium for 10-15 minute with 12 Downy Calm Dryer Sheet for smell and softness.
