Wood Tambour Door Sideboard

One of my favorite Wayfair purchases EVER! The way the doors open is super unique and fun, the style of it is amazing. Putting it together alone was slightly tedious but totally worth it and the directions were on point

This piece is solid and heavy. I can’t believe the price! Wasn’t hard to put together I put it together myself in just under an hour. If you plan to open and close the doors a lot, it may not be the ideal unit for you as these doors slide open without a track or anything to help them slide. We open and close them a lot and don’t have an issue now that the doors have settled, but just something to think about.

Well worth it! Changed the vibe of my space perfectly. It’s good quality.

Beautiful sideboard. The fluted design is classy and clean. Ours did come a little bit damaged in the front but its not too bad for a regular person to notice. Im just a little meticulous. All in all, a great piece of furniture.

The sliding door is super thin and really hard to close

Its the right size and scale for what we needed. Matches the coffee table wood tone also purchased at Wayfair. We are using it as a TV console so if you are using it to hide components you cannot drill holes into the back to feed wires...because the wires will stop the tambour doors from sliding fully open. We remedided this by drilling wire holes in the bottom. We needed gold instead of black hardware so we could match the coffee table. We spray painted the black legs and handles gold before assembly and it looks great

Took about 2.5 hrs to put together but by explicitly following the directions you can proudly accomplish it. Only issue I have now but hope to resolve is that the doors do not slide well. Even with the wax provided and bees wax I used they still do not glide (even somewhat) easy. So I’ll be trying a dry graphite in a couple days and hope for a better outcome. Overall, easy to install, nice looking and feels substantial in quality. Best of all my wife loves it! (Enough said! lol)

I love the look of this cabinet. The doors are difficult to open, even when you use the wax. I used a newer wax and the doors moved better. The brackets that hold the legs together were missing from the hardware packet, but Wayfair is sending another packet
