Floortex Ultimat Polycarbonate Rectangular Chair Mat for Carpets up to 1/2"

This mat is exactly what I needed for my office. I was trying to use my rolling desk chair on a thick carpet, and it was miserable to deal with all day long. I was impressed with the thickness and how heavy-duty the mat felt right out of the cardboard sleeve it was shipped in. If you are trying to work on carpet, I highly suggest you get one of these mats! They are a great deal and do not cost a lot.

We purchased a 48" x 48" chair mat in August 2021. Earlier this year it started cracking in numerous places. The description of this product has that it "will not crack" and it has a lifetime warranty. We contacted Wayfair about this a few months ago and they said to contact Floortex. We have tried contacting Floortex numerous times in a number of different ways. Floortex does not respond. How can we resolve this issue when the company does return our calls or our emails?

Actually, this worked perfectly. Moves around a little on a hardwood floor, but what do you expect?

If you have carpet with padding, you need this. Plus changing to larger wheels makes life in the chair smooth.

Polycarbonate mats are the only mats worth buying for office chairs on carpet. My carpet is a little less than 1/2 inch at .4 of an inch. The mat was rolled and unrolled easily by 2 people which I reconmend as it will spring apart quite quickly if you don't apply pressure while unrolling it slowly which we easily did. The mat itself lays perfectly flat out of the box and appears very solid under my chair and I can easily roll over it. I'm 190 lbs and my chair is 30 lbs so 220 pounds with no sinking like the one I returned which wasn't polycarbonate material. Twice as expensive as lesser material but well worth it.

I put this in my office on regular carpet. It cracked under my weight (of only 130 pounds) within only a few months and has continued to crack in mutliple places. Total waste of money, will have to buy a different one.
