Looks nice on the outside, but this is way too expensive to be made out of this cheap osb-like material. Assembly actually wasn’t too bad. Just pay attention to the diagrams and alignments in the instructions.o

Beautiful wardrobe. Easy installation. It's what we need. We has a defected handle and. couldn't find a match handle at the store. The replacement was received in few days. Greatly appreciated your excellent customer service.

Wayfair Item # SKU: W111313435 Chinese Item # SKU: KF250022US-01MH-A001 (1 of 2), KF250022US-01MH-B001 (2 of KF250022US-03MH-001 (1 of 1) Description: Modern Wardrobe With Strong Storage Purchase Date: Dec 29, 2024 Delivery Date: Friday, January 03 Price Delivered: $837.39 Review Summary: One star (Delivered quickly, 3 heavy boxes with no damage, all parts accounted, Instructions: It was not clear from the outset that I would be constructing to separate cabinets with two sets of instructions. One cabinet weighing ~200 lbs., and the other weighing in at ~100 lbs. The 100 lb. unit would require lifting to rest atop the 6-foot cabinet. I managed this alone with a four-foot lift to a small cabinet on wheels then leveraged it up to the six-foot requirement. To be fair I should have realized this from the beginning, BUT the overall construction picture should have been made apparent on the website and in the first of the two manuals. Parts: There was no shortage of parts, but the exact number in many cases. Delivery: The complete unit comes in three boxes. Each box weighing ~100 lbs. The boxes arrived undamaged and I brought them to my garage with a dolly. Several tarps were layered on the garage floor to keep the unit cushioned and clean during the construction process. Construction Strength Issues: The unit was to be placed in a room above our garage that is used as an embroidery studio and to be used for seasonal clothes storage. I constructed the unit in the studio by bringing up all the hardware and the pieces required for a few steps at a time. The primary issues were the parts that were required to make the unit sturdy. The quickfit screws/cam lock system and the wooden dowels. The worst: The wooden dowels. The instructions clearly show a hammer to be used to tap the dowels into the provided holes. A hammer was not required as nearly every dowel inserted into the provided holes was loose enough to fall out or could be inserted by hand to a snug fit. Also, the dowel holes were drilled to deep as nearly every dowel insertion provided only small protrusion (¼ inch) into its adjoining hole. No glue was provided or indicated to be used as is customary in joining wood boards using wooden dowels. I have used glue that was provided for this type of construction method in the past. I considered using wood glue, but decided not to as the glue would have poured out of the too large holes and would have made more of a mess than ultimately occurred. The next worse: I have also constructed with the quickfit screws/cam lock system previously, but never have encountered as many “non secure” tightenings when turning the cam clockwise with a screwdriver to secure it. In maybe half of the tightenings, I received a very satisfying “click’” that confirmed the cam had locked onto the quick/fit screw. I believe this was due to a lack of consistency in the depth of the cam lock holes. I was very careful to keep the quickfit screw exactly straight up and flush with the surface of the panel being used. This proved to take considerable time as the surface paint “puffed” up as the strew penetrated into the provided holes. Disaster at Step #16. This was the result of the poorly implemented dowel, quickfit screws/cam lock system, and misaligned dowel holes. On step number #16 the dowel holes on plate #7 did not line up with the provided holes on already joined plates #3 and #16 nor holes on plate #8 with plates #5 joined with #18 assembled on step 15. The only thing I could do was leave them out. Also, on step #16, plate #34 was to be doweled and cam locked into plate 7. With the above-mentioned issues of poor dowel and cam lock system affecting stability attempting to secure the ~31” x 4” plate #34 to plate #7, left plate #34 hanging from plate #7with no support at one end. A complete failure of the cam lock system occurred and it ripped itself out of its socket. I continued on with step number #17 securing panel #8 to #3/#16, #5/#18, and to #34, thinking the join might hold together. Note that the misalignment of the dowel holes seen on plate #7 was also seen on plate #8, as stated above. The consequence of these problems resulted in a failure in structural integrity of the base that required extensive outside hardware intervention. Step #25 Requires the unit to be positioned from horizontal (flat on the floor) to vertical (its final position). This transition resulted in more structural failure and additional outside hardware bracing. Step #46 Even though cabinet #2 is to be placed on top of cabinet #1, step #46 shows placement of the anti-tipping device to be placed on the top of cabinet #1. This seems just wrong, as I wondered how I would secure this to the wall after placing cabinet #2 on top of #1, having secured the back panels in Step # 23. I decided to wait, as it seemed my only choice. As it turned out this was more than problematic due to the fact that now, after completion and stacking of the 2 cabinets, there remained ~ three inches to secure the anti-tipping bracket to the upper cabinet and the ceiling. Also, my newly constructed Modern Wardrobe with Strong Cabinets was intended to be placed in the corner of the room. I was able to make this work by placing one anti-tipping bracket on the rear far left side and one the front right site of the top of cabinet 2. This maneuver require a special drill attachment due to the limited space (right angle, flex shaft, attachment), that I fortunately had. Finished? The unit is now in place and I have yet to complete alignment of the lower cabinet and upper cabinet doors. I’ve worked on the lower, but it’s still not just right. There are no instructions showing the adjustment process. The doors require a massive adjustment. Final Review Statement: I would NOT recommend this product! If I could beam it back all the way to China, I would and collect a full refund. Right now, my Modern Wardrobe with Strong Cabinets is worth about half the amount I paid for it. Only because it would be more trouble than it’s worth to ship it back to Wayfair. To anyone else, it would just be worthless junk.

Bought two wardrobes to create a custom built in closet look at a reasonable price.

Looks just as pictured. The material does look kind of cheap, plastic like, especially on the sides. We are going to add our own trim to the sides to make it look less storage cabinet like. But it’s nice and big with lots of storage.

Unfortunately, we were unlucky with a few of the pieces not having holes drilled properly. We contacted customer service and sent all the information and pictures they asked for but it’s been 2 days and no one has gotten back to us. This was a cabinet for a rental so we only had a few days to get it ready and therefore had to drill extra holes and hope it all stays together. We are disappointed in the service follow up and expected a product with better quality control for its parts. It took us two 8 hour days to get it assembled. I hope someone from Wayfair will contact us with an explanation.

I love this armoire. Perfect for the bedroom, it’s tall and has soft close doors and drawers.

This product is bad quality. The pieces don't fully align even with following instructions perfectly and with the designated holes for screws. The doors don't close all the way. The drawers don't stay closed. The whole thing is a waste of money. I won't be buying from here again.
