Jacklin Solid Wood Platform Storage Bed

I used this “captain’s” style bed in a very small bedroom. I wasn’t going to have enough space for a dresser. This unit has great drawers. The quality of the build is good. The drawers slide nicely and are spacious. It’s a solid piece. I will say, because of the dresser drawers, this bed is higher up. I bought a footstool to help climb up into the bed. It’s high up! So if that’s a concern, know that the great drawers do come with that effect. I really like the bed. The wood is great. The hardware is stylish. I recommend.

High quality bed and drawers! Please note, this bed is very high when a single mattress is on the platform. Shorter or elderly people may have trouble getting in and out. It is perfect for my space (no dressers) with TONS of storage underneath.

My bedroom is too small to hold a queen bed and a dresser or chest of drawers, so I have a storage issue. I figured a captain’s bed fit the bill. One side has three deep drawers and the other has six drawers half as deep. I like that the mattress is fully supported instead of flimsy slats like I’ve seen on some beds. Assembly was pretty straight forward, and the bed seems well made. If you sleep hot like I do, you may want to place a hybrid mattress on the bed (No, you don’t need a box spring.). According to my research, a hybrid will allow air to circulate between the platform and the top level of the mattress to keep you cooler. I also considered purchasing the matching night stands, but held off until I could see how the bed’s drawers fit into my space. The drawers go the entire length of the bed, so I wouldn’t have been able to open the drawers near the headboard if the night stands were in place, rendering them useless. I solved this problem by ordering a pair of “C” tables instead that had a drawer and even outlet and charging station built in. They weren’t as large as I wanted in order to hold lamps, etc., so I placed the glass from a pair of old end tables on top. Problem solved!

A bit expensive, but made very well. Going from antique Canopy to platform bed was hard but added much needed storage in small bedroom when lacking space for clothes. Three drawers are deep and other side has 6 drawers deep as well.

Very well packaged and looks great assembled. Excellent quality and a lot of storage. Note the drawers and bedside tables don’t really work. I went with a floating shelf that allows the drawer to glide under it.

I bought 2 of these beds. Well worth the price!!

quality ok wood seems alittle soft but not alot of traffic. We have not put it together yet which might be hard. all in all glad we bought it

Beautiful! Heavy duty, very solid. I put it together by myself in 3 hours. I switched the drawers so the 6 drawer is on the right, if your standing at the end of the bed looking at it, and the 3 drawer are on the left. Lots of storage. Highly recommend!

This was very easy to assemble, and really good quality. Real wood, and the drawer hardware is great quality. We were able to remove two dressers and now have room to move in our small house. Coupled with a great mattress, it's heaven to sleep on.
