There was a gouge on the tabletop about 3 inches long and several scratches, plus the leg of one chair was 3/4 inch shorter than the other. Wayfair did indicate the product was an "open box" but did not disclose the "why" so unfortunately I was not able to return the set. Very disappointed in the lack of transparency.
