Abigai Solid Wood Platform Bed

The bed was great and it came undamaged, but you have to do something about the packaging they are using. I filled 4 full size black trash bags with the polystyrene dunnage that was used for a single queen bed. We have no options to recycle polystyrene (Styrofoam) in the US so I have no option but to send it to a landfill. You have to get you furniture suppliers to eliminate polystyrene and convert to a combination of molded pulp and honeycomb corrugated. All of these paper products can be recycled. You can do better and its irresponsible for you to source products with packaging like this.

This is actually the first piece of furniture from wayfair that we’ve been bummed about. We’ve spent over 10 grand this year on wayfair furniture and have lucked out with our other pieces. Not this one. From a distance this bed looks “ok”....but the photos are so very deceiving. I am so disappointed that we spent over a grand on this thing. It would have been worth it if it was half price. The wood is actually PAINTED to look lighter! That’s not real! A facade with grain and the wood in between is poorly spray painted so it screams cheesey and not the luxury look we were going for in our rental. You can actually see the spray marks because the space in between is speckled as it wasn’t even done well. For another rental we had bought another REAL one from a local furniture store that is gorgeous and was just four hundred dollars more- so I feel a little dumb. From a distance it doesn’t look terrible- but you can still tell if you have a discerning eye and know what real wood looks like lol. On the positive side, the headboard is solid and does not wobble- but unless this bed goes on sale for well under a grand- save your money and don’t buy this cheap junk.

Very love the look of this bed. Was waiting for this bed 2 month to be in stock . In the day it came in stock I ordered immediately. I’m very happy with my purchase!
