Damaged Twice, Missing Parts, Poor Quality and Support Ordered the Arlex Storage Murphy Bed for a finished basement in a luxury home. The first delivery was destroyed. Wayfair sent a partial replacement — just the two front face doors — and those also arrived damaged with crushed corners. They never sent pieces #30 and #31, which are required to even assemble the bed. When I explained everything, they asked me how much I thought would be fair — I said 30% of the item’s value or at least undamaged parts. Instead, they offered just $90 on a ~$2,000 bed. Beyond the shipping mess, time consumption, contractor-on stand by, the quality is absolutely awful. The front panels look like a cheap sticker print, not real wood. It’s not just disappointing — it feels like a total scam. Would not recommend this product or experience to anyone. STAY AWAY. Hopefully will help some of you that are interested in this item. BEWARE.

This definitely takes long to put together. From taking everything out of the heavy boxes to assembly I would say more than 8 hours. But it feels like good quality, looks nice and the instructions were easy to follow. We are very happy with it.

Instructions were clear. Building went smooth. Bed and bookcase look great. Quality decent for the money.

We purchased this Murphy Bed a couple of years ago and have not regretted it. My husband and I are fairly handy and installed it over a weekend ourselves. It's so nice to have a room where our gym equipment can be stored away when we have an additional guest. Very good quality. The instructions are translated so you may want to think through for each step.

Took some time to assemble but, well worth it! Guests remark how beautiful it is. Very, very pleased!

The system itself is great. But, instructions are missing some key emphasis points. Delivery/packaging needs to be ironed out I have 4 chipped doors, maybe I won the lottery! But its unacceptable at this price point

We purchased a murphy bed for our smallest room to help when we have company over. The purchase was easy, the shipping was an issue due to a box getting lost. Wayfair was very responsive and took action quickly and even looped the manufacture in to figure out which box was the one missing. The building of it took two days to complete. Several parts of the build took two people. All the tools were included , my husband used a drill, leveler, and a stud finder. He removed part of the bottom moulding to keep the bed flushed to the wall. I ordered a white size Queen bed and it came with a Cabinet organizer that attaches to the bed but due to size restrictions in this room we left it to the side as storage. Overall, the quality is good and Wayfair and the manufacture were great at resolving our issue. This bed shipped in parts so it took about a month and weeks to get all the parts and then due to work schedule find the time to build it. We are very happy with this purchase and I am now window shopping for a mattress!

Looks great in our multipurpose room which doubles up as an office and guest room. The front legs are a bit slim though so it doesn’t feel as sturdy as it should. Also when open the bed has some exposed frame parts coming out from the sides so you have to make sure to cover them with pillows otherwise you may injure yourself.
