Dieuwer 35.8'' Solid Wood Console Table

This was a nightmare to assemble! Here's the problem. As designed you have to remove the drawers and sliding shelves to access the pre-drilled holes toward the front. The drawers were easy; the metal flange that acts as a stopper can be readily accessed by reaching inside the drawer and pushing up. But the stoppers on the shelves are g-shaped and cheap plastic. The idea is that you push down with your thumbs on both sides simultaneously to release the catch. Two problems: one is that the shelf doesn't pull out enough to allow you to reach the thumb release (I had to use a flat screwdriver and a metal shish-kabab skewer), the other was the real nightmare. Depressing with both thumbs means you should have a right side and a left side track. What they did instead was flip the right side track and install it on the left, which means the track still works but you cannot unlatch it. You CAN NOT! It took more than 45 minutes of poking at it with the screwdriver to finally damage the left side catch enough to get the shelves out. Then, before putting the shelves back in (another struggle) I took an exact-o knife and cut off the plastic part on the left side of each shelf that was hanging up. It is now fully assembled and we're keeping it, but it took start to finish more than two hours! One other issue is that while the framing is solid wood the flat surfaces appear to be veneer and don't quite match. Still, it looks nice, sits level, and works well with my modern rustic/Southwestern decor. But what an ordeal!

Really like this console table. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to the photo showing the table a light stain color. In reality it is darker. I still like it, but would have LOVED the color from the photo. Not done with table decor...This console table would be crazy cute as bed side tables with a black metal framed bed!

Instructions failed to include how to install the legs when the trays and drawers are in the way. I actor broke one drawer trying to remove so that I could get to the area to screw the nail in to attach the legs.

Nice solid wood, easy to put together, looks great. Major flaw is the varnish is easy scratched, and once scratched it begins to chip easily. Probably not great for high-traffic use. I'm using it in a potting room so don't really care if it starts to get a little rough around the edges

Looks great in my kitchen and is a perfect match to the rest of out furniture. Very easy to assemble

It's okay for the price. Missing 1 washer. Not too hard to put together. Had a hard time getting it to level. Coloring is a little different but it's fine for where I'm putting it.

Looks good and is easy to put together, but one of screws is impossible to put it on, it’s in a hidden spot.
