Perfect fit for my Lava heater 3 bolts to unscrew, install the new burner, reinstall the screws, hookup to propane tank and done! Same part from the manufacturer was more than 3x the price.

Distance between 2 holes on rear 7 7/8". Distance from back holes to front center hole 7 3/4". This fit the bolt pattern of my off brand heater. However, the burner location on this product was more forward than the one I was replacing. So I had to drill a couple holes in to make it fit. The center of the burner is approximately 2.5" from the line connecting the rear two bolt holes. I also had to bend the spark gap to make it bit wider for easier lighting. Product itself works great though.

This control unit was bought to replace a unit on a patio heater bought about 10 years ago. (The old burner unit would not transition from pilot light to burner.) The new unit contains all the same components as the original unit, but the black metal housing is much smaller dimensionally (height and depth.) Rather than a "drop-in" unit, it required me to drill new holes and use sheet metal screws to get the new unit installed. While the new unit works OK the sparker and gas controls are now about 2" to the rear and 1" higher than for the original unit...awkward but functional. A job that should have required 20 minutes turned into a 2 1/2 hour effort. Before ordering, determine its compatibility with your current patio heater and plan accordingly.
