It looks really nice and is sturdy, once you get it put together. The holes were drilled off center, so they did not line up. It took some muscle, and a willingness to mess up the finish, to get the screws to fit into the pre-drilled holes. Not thrilled with that, but if it did not have that issue, this would be 5 stars. It is comfortable and the shelf is a nice addition.
