I love this simple medallion. I painted it black to go with a black ceiling and it adds the perfect amount of architectural interest. It was easily installed and the line really can't be seen unless actively looking for it.

Because of the way my ceiling fan is mounted, this ended up not working for me. It's perfectly fine as medallions go, just not in this situation.

Looks fine, but definitely recommend using a whole, not split medallion if possible. Looks much better.
