The door is gorgeous and I love the louvered look and the added character to my hallway

I planned to stain it but time constraints pushed me to paint instead. I've only had time to prime it but I don't think that caused my issue. It's a lovely door however be VERY careful if adding knobs. I added a knob and the next door I noticed a small crack above it. The next day it grew and now need to figure out is it worth saving or going another route and buying something different. I don't think knobs of any kind should be added to these type of doors which is disappointing.

Stained it with classic grey. Love the color so much. Very good quality.

These louvered doors are very well made - completely clear, so they could be varnished rather than painted. The framing looks solid but is actually glued up of solid pieces of pine, with a veneer so they look like classic construction of the door. I don't see this as a defect, because the cross-graining and gluing will I believe make the door more stable. Craftsmanship and quality are excellent, and they are shipped with good protection - plastic corners to protect, fully wrapped in plastic, with light foam for a little addition to the cardboard's protection. I am very pleased.

Great door! The only issue I had with the door was self-inflicted when I accidentally drilled the doorknob hole so the slats would go upside down. Not the door's fault at all of course.
