Pushes a lot of air at high settings. Love the gradator. Only issue I can find is the sound of the electric motor at low power is greater than the sound of the air moving. Might be a problem with mine, we'll see if it passes the 10 years test.

The prior heavy duty fan that we purchased (literally) exploded and blades flew off, so I was given the option of choosing another. I picked this. While it does put out a lot of air and the setting dial is nice, it unplugs itself CONSTANTLY. It seemed like a minor inconvenience at first but every turn on the table, etc, requires plugging it back in to the fan. It is relentless. This itself could be a hazard if there are any wet environments or pets nearby and it falls (ie you move it to another table or simply nudge the fan while changinfbits speed) since the live cord keeps letting go. The fan itself feels much cheaper of quality in materials than my prior also. I would not purchase another, and regret my choice with this one.

We love this fan. It's well built. It works well and feels good since we know it's energy efficient.

My Vornado fan saved me during a terrible heatwave. It provided a cool, comfortable and constant air circulation. It is also easy to move around.

Works good, nice size. Using the lower speeds, it is quiet. Little pricey compared to fans at large box stores. Moves the air.

I use this in my basement to circulate the air especially when the basement is too cool to run the air con. This is magnificent. Unless you have it nearly all the way up, you don’t really hear it running. Great product.

After having bought an earlier model Vornado fan and being happy with it we purchased the 733DC Energy Smart Air Circulator really for our aging lab. With the increased warm temps this year our log home is without air conditioning and needs some good air circulation. This little machine does the trick and does it well. As stated on their web site, it runs really quite on the low mode and that is sufficient for our dog. We have noticed in the last couple of nights that there seems to be a slight sound now. Still quiet but wondering if we are putting it to the test as upon arrival it has been running with the exception of maybe a week nonstop. We would definitely buy another one and the big added plus for us is that it is made in the USA! THANK YOU VORNADO!

First things first: DC fans are a game-changer; I'll never buy another AC fan. With the 733DC I can run the fan as low as 5 watts and still get a small, silent breeze, all the way to ~70 watts at full power. A similarly-sized AC fan might only have 3 speeds, with the min at 60 watts and max at 80 watts. That said, while Vornado put together a nice motor and fan housing, they really cheaped out on the stand and power port. The stand is a very flimsy plastic that flexes easily. The rubber "feet" are just tiny strips of rubber with adhesive on the back that you install yourself, and they all fall off eventually. The stand is fixed, so you can only point this fan 3 ways: parallel to floor, 45 degrees, and straight up. The power port is on the bottom of the fan, held in by a small amount of friction. A small bump will wiggle the cable out just enough to cut the power. So now I have an ugly rubber band holding the cable in the port. Why they assembled such a nice fan and slapped it on such a cheap stand--and charged the bloated Vornado premium--I'll never know... There are alternative DC fans out there, more powerful, less expensive, same or better quality, and with more functionality (oscillating, remote, wifi) than this.

The power connector on this is of poor quality. It lacks a strain relief and will break within a year

This is my 4th vornado, best fans ever. I had one for 4 years and it died, they replaced it for free in a week. The 733 dc energy smart is awesome with any speed setting. With the warranty it's the smart buy.
