I will say that this fan is attractively desiged, but it is not a very powerful fan. I can't give you an accurate review because I've only have had it for 1 day. Wayfair keeps pestering me to review this item. I can't give you and accurate assessment as it is to soon.

The purchase of two VFAN was a great decision. We placed each fan in each of two guest bedrooms for our visiting family members during the hottest time of the year this past week. The fans arrived in time and the family members all appreciated the extra cooling they provided. They all could not get over the quality and vintage design of the Vornado Alchemy VFANS. My daughter wanted all the information and wants to order one for each of our grandchildren for their dorm rooms or apartments who are attending colleges. Thanks for your quick response and delivery. I've recently become a little obsessed with fans and air flow. I realize how efficient they are in moving the HVAC air around our house. Anyhow, I was looking through a lot of options on Wayfair and kept coming back to the Vornado brand. I happened to mention this to my husband and he responded that he grew up with Vornado fans, loved them, they lasted forever, etc. And then he got excited enough to get interested in my online shopping spree and have me find the version he remembered growing up (which I also bought!). So I bought this "fancy" one for our Living Room/Dining Room combo (big room with walls of windows). I was kind of worried about the higher price, but it's so worth it! The fan is much heavier and obviously more quality than your average fan! It looks great! The air flow it puts out is great. We honestly can feel the pockets of cooler air now when walking through the room by the windows where it usually is hotter because of the sun. I love the look of it since it sits in our living/dining room space. We have an HVAC vent that sits behind the buffet shown in the picture and I plan to use the fan in this area year round to help move the air from that vent around the room.

Cute fan. Does the job. It's not a Dyson, so it's loud.
