The entrance into the glass portion of this lamp is too small for the standard bulb that needs to fit in it. You somehow need to find a standard bulb base with a minibulb. It's so strange. I tried to unscrew all parts to fit a Philips Hue light and then try to directly screw the lightbulb with the glass hanging off it, but of course the bulb fell and broke through the glass and then broke on the floor. I do not for the life of me understand why the bulb insertion is such a small radius.
