Unfortunately I didn't have this installed until after the return date due to a problem with our remodel. This gives off very little light. I have it on a dimmer and at full illumination it's so dark in our small water closet. My husband said " you couldn't even read the paper in there if you wanted to!"

I consider myself a fair DIY'er but was unable to attach the locking ring holding in place the glass bowl despite 45 minutes of effort. It is a terrible design. I found getting the long screws to align impossible and had to return both of the units I purchased. I do not recommend.
