My previous mattress i had was basically 20 years old but from beautyrest as well and it held up very well but it was time to get a new one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll start with the fact that at full price, I would not be keen to buy something I had not seen or felt in person. However, I am pleasantly surprised by this mattress. This is the first brand new mattress I have ever owned and there are many things I didn’t realize I was missing. I love that this is a thicker (taller) mattress where it takes less effort to get back out of bed after a long day. I work a job where a sit all day and a side job where I am on my feet most nights, which does is a number on my back. This mattress is so supportive without being overly firm. I wanted to give this mattress a fair assessment before reviewing it and have used it for about 3 weeks so far. I haven’t slept this consistently good in adulthood. I also live in Michigan so the summers can get humid. So far this does not make me feel hot like other mattresses have; I suppose a testament to the cooling feature. Now for the only downfall of this mattress- Changing the sheets on this aren’t super fun because tucking in the corners with a heavy mattress is a task. With two people, or one with more patience than I have, it should be fine. I just wouldn’t get this for a more elderly person unless you were expecting to have someone else changing the sheets. My only critique is that if you sit on the edge of the mattress it has no support at all, bending and not supporting weight. For example, putting on my socks in the morning - if I sit on the side of bed the mattress has too much "give" or flexibility- but when I'm sleeping more center of the mattress it's absolutely perfect..
