This shed is a life saver. I live in the south and hurricane season is always a pain. Most sheds are not large enough that are resin material. This one has great space and very sturdy. It did take 3 days to build but equaled about 7 hours total. The app is amazing- don’t waste your time with the paper directions- download the app and you will not have a problem with putting it together. Window panels can be on either side. This is a great shed. I put mine on a 2x6 frame with 2x6 16 on center and decked with 54x6 deck boards which made a very strong floor. I put this together by myself in about 14 hours including the floor. There are some steps that are somewhat difficult by your self but take your time and you will figure it out. One of the most difficult parts is installing the wall panels without them falling over, to overcome this I used a 6' step latter and clamp to hold the walls up. One thing I would highly recommend is a can of silicone spray which will make snapping the panels in a breeze. One question I have read in other reviews is will the sky light panels interchange and the answer is yes. The trusses are shaped to operate as a drainage channel and any water that enters into the roof seam is caught by the trusses and runs out to the side of the shed. Sidewall seams are also supported by overlapping panels and do not allow water in. All Lifetime sheds are designed, built, and tested to withstand rain and snow while keeping the interior dry. I have considerable construction experience and thought about building a traditional shed using lumber. However, I decided to go with this product to reduce maintenance and because I wanted something light weight. I believe the shed will do what I want it to do, but what a nightmare to assemble! The instructions are bad, and parts and hardware identification is limited to pictures and drawings. Each section that you assemble comes with a bag of hardware. In that bag there will be several different types of screws and other connectors. The instructions will show only a drawing of a screw and a three letter identification of that screw. The problem is that there is no three letter identification within the bag, and one screw looks much like another. Lifetime could easily solve that problem by putting all of one kind of connector in one bag and then just tell you to use connectors from bag XYZ. Simple. We also ended up with a lot of screws and connectors that were never used. My guess is that they have generic bags of connectors for different products. One of the roof panels is considerably darker in color than the others. Luckily, it's on the back side of the shed. I intend to contact Lifetime about that. (I just finished the shed yesterday.) The floor is a snap together affair. It goes together easily, but not straight. I believe that we had some warped panels, and try as we might, we could not get one side to snap together as tightly as the others. Each seam was about an 1/8 inch apart on one end. Not a big deal you might think, but with four seams, that equals out to a 1/2 inch. That's a lot. We ended up rigging up a tourniquet of sorts to draw the panels together, and then screwed them to the floor. In conclusion, like I stated earlier, the shed will work for keeping things out of the elements. Putting it together will drive you crazy, though. It's certainly not worth the asking price. Building one out of lumber would have been about half the cost. That would have bought years worth of paint or stain. Live and learn, I guess. After a year it is still standing after 2 winters in New England. Snow slides right off no more shoveling the shed roof off. I build a 12x12 deck platform out of 2x6 for this to site on and works great. The took a day with two people. It has held together pretty well. The 1 thing I hate the most is the doors. They really need to re-engineer the doors as they are junk. They slide and move, I think I will need to rebuild this summer and make them more solid. No leads, it holds the ATV and Lawn tractor.. The design of the shed is what sold us! Upon delivery of the shed, we began losing our excitement. The instruction manual required someone with architectural rendering experience to understand some of the instructions. Not easy for a semi-pro to figure it out. The majority of the wood was not marked, so each piece of wood had to be measured and marked to insure the shed would be square. Some of the 2 x4's had massive curves or were split, so adjustments had to be made to insure solid construction. Wood quality seemed like C grade.
