This unit would not work. When I plugged it in the display never lit up but the unit started to get hot. I have a replacement coming and will arrive today - hopefully it works because the unit is very large and seems to have a lot of functions and Im looking forward to cooking my meals faster. Edit I got the replacement and have had no issues whatsoever. I love the large capacity of this unit and it has changed my cooking game forever. I didn’t know that they made 10 quart slow cooker’s. Wow! I’m happy owning this simplistic model because of the low cost and high performance. Don’t need all the digital bells and whistles. Doesn’t even have a lighted knob. My only issue is it has a short short cord. I assume it’s designed that way so people don’t get tempted to stretch it far leaving a cord in the way or dangling making it prone for an accident. Used it this weekend to make white bean green chili stew, dinner was done on time! It works just as good as my other fancier smaller ones. Update. Bought this 9 months ago and it is still the best Slow Cooker I have ever owned, all around, and I’ve owned about a dozen over the years, still have 3 others. We use it at least once a week, sometime up to 3 times. Please don’t knock me I work long hours and I have a lot of kids and family still coming around so this is a irresistible solution. Plus too I grew up with slow cooker’s and I’ve only gotten better at using them and finding recipes. It’s just too easy, the anticipation from the smell of the food cooking/melding, always delicious, and cost efficient. After 9 months of use, I can still clean it up like it’s brand new. I love that this cooker can do so many things! I will use it at home and in my RV. I can brownsaute meat, dump everything in and use it as a slow cooker or bake with it, and even put it in the oven if I need to. Just received this so its hard to give a decent review. It did come with a dent in the stainless steel that I'm not thrilled about, but would be less thrilled packing it back up and the hassle of a return. So far I have only made 2 recipes & the convenience was great. I don't think the sauté option is all that great, it doesn't brown like a pan. I hope I have better results with the air fry option.. P.
