I bought this trash can for my wife because of the push down feature in the center of the lid for compacting the trash so one can get more out of a trash bag and so my wife wouldnt have to use her hands or sometimes her foot to push the trash down further. Now she doesnt have to rush to the sink to wash her hands when pushing the trash down with the compacting lid.
