Nice awning. Too heavy for 2 seniors to hang. Had to hire a handyman. It really is too small for the area. It needed to be bigger (longer). Too cumbersome to return. Guess we need to buy another to go along side it.. Rosa. Thu Jul 23 2026

This is a great pergola if you have limited backyard space and want more shade sometimes, and more sun sometimes. I love that it’s retractable! It easily slides open or closed and is more stable than I thought it would be. The assemble instructions were wonky though. Just assemble the top first then put on the legs. You will need help!. Melissa. Odessa, TX. Wed Jul 01 2026

Not as wide as the original, but, I was able to make it work. Please list the actual dimensions of this product rather than stating that it fits a 12 foot retractable. Take note of the space at the ends of the roller.. A.. Clearwater, FL. Thu Jun 11 2026

This awning is the first choice of most homeowners who choose a manually-operated model because for just low cost it extends out from your house giving you up more square feet of coverage and protection This model requires no electricity.

Pros Great product for the price! It has held up very well in the CA sun over the past few months. Cons It stains easily and it was so terrible to put together (terrible instructions, lots of pieces). If I had to do it again, would have three people to hang it.. Jeannie. Los Angeles, CA. Mon Sep 14 2026

Provide cover for yourself outdoors instantly with motorized outdoor shades from Outsunny. The window awning frame is made from a blend of aluminum and steel, ensuring it is strong and reliable for use outdoors in all weather. Using 270g/m², the retractable sun shade auto awning features a PU coating on the top, helping to protect you from UV and sun glare without fading the color - allowing it to be used all year round.

Very pleased with the awning. Fits the space just right. Assembly was not overly difficult but the instructions could have been a bit more detailed. I looked at several videos related to assembly of the out sunning awnings and even though they were not for this exact awning it helped immensely. I was able to do the complete assembly by myself but needed help to lift the awning into place on the brackets. I mounted the brackets in the rim joist between the first and second floors... as such I needed to purchase some lag screws as the anchors provided with the awning were suited more to mounting on brick or concrete. The awning looks great and the motor is more than worth it as the manual crank takes quite a bit of turning to fully open and close.. Harry. Roanoke Va. Fri May 22 2026

Is a really nice canopy. Instructions could have been a little better. Definitely have to put together with more then one person. Takes like 3-4. Anonymous. Sun Jul 19 2026

I was surprised by how small a box this pergola was packaged in. All of the large pieces were in half and had to be assembled, which was quite easy. The instructions were just pictures, no text, but very easy to follow. The parts were engineered to fit together perfectly. For the final steps, two or three people are needed because the pergola is reaching its final size and must be lifted for the final step of attaching the lower half of the legs. Very smartly designed and altogether a nice piece of outdoor furniture.. Mary S. South Orange, NJ. Sat Nov 16 2024

Fairly easy to install ourselves. Only issue we ran into was some of the plastic tubes were broken, but got replaced quickly. Courtney. MA. Fri Aug 07 2026

Turned out nice. Had this professionally installed and mounted the post in concrete blocks to give more stability. The metal pieces itself is lightweight aluminum but when connected together it’s sturdy. Only gripe are the shade connector poles. Their means of connecting could be improved because they slide off & disconnect from one another every now & then but so far holds up well with rain when shade is pulled back. Haven’t experienced any serious windy conditions yet to speak on so we’ll see. So far overall all good.. Bryant. Miami, FL. Thu Jun 01 2023
