Daughter loves her bed! It seems pretty sturdy. The negatives for me are the side opposite of the desk is unfinished, it just has black backing on the side so it limits where the bed can be placed from an aesthetic perspective it basically has to be in a corner if you don’t want to see the black backing side. The new shipment did arrive with all the parts, but we also noticed some chipping and damage on the side. At that point, we decided to keep it because we were tired of going back and forth. I watched the assembly of this bed. It’s clearly very sturdy, with strong slats and a central heavy board down the middle to support the slats. It’s handsome as well. However, with a modern 12” deep mattress, the headboard only extends 2.5” above the mattress (without any mattress pad or sheets) so it remains to be seen how comfortable this is for sleepers, since the headboard will not provide much support for their pillows.
