This was my big splurge - the tile is stunning! I found it available in a few places, but Wayfair had the best price by far. I did find it hard to actually get on Wayfair as it is almost always out of stock. I haven’t yet opened it all or installed it, but will post when I do. We will use it around a modern fireplace up to the ceiling. One thing to note - Wayfair sent all Type A which is the star off the the side. Type B is with the center star. I never saw anywhere to specify so you may want to talk to someone at Wayfair when ordering if that is important to you. I sourced a few pieces locally to create the pattern so I know you can get them. I am using the grey. I did see the white in a store and to me it had a bit of a beige/tan to it.. Lori. Overall good. I used to do a classic black and white checkerboard floor in my kitchen. Some notes: the white tiles are slightly smaller than the black. This was ok for my application because it is hidden by thicker grout lines in bright white, but would be noticeable if using smaller grout lines or with a contrasting grout color. The finish is sort of satin/pearl. It does show spatters and foot prints, but has proven easy to clean so far. The white is very white, with a slight warm cream tint. The black is very black, neutral undertones. Because I use a combo of black and white, it shows a lot of grime! Be prepared to vacuum & mop daily/every other daily if you do this. It took me months of searching and taking home 15-20 flooring samples before I finally settled on this, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I used this for a small basement as well as my split level entry. The larger-sized tile makes the space feel bigger, and the muted brown looks great with my greige (gray/beige) walls and white trim. I picked an off-white grout to offset the dark color. My only word of caution is that the boxes are HEAVY - 70 lbs EACH according the product description. So if you're a petite, single lady like me, either make sure you're home when for the delivery date/time or don't skip leg day. After a long search for brick 'tiles' (including multiple samples), we settled on these bricks from MSI. The mesh backing makes layout simple.
