ANOTHER UPDATE: I reached out to Wayfair and they just told me I'm out of warranty which I knew and I just need help from Kalamera. Please be ware there is ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM KALAMERA. This device works fine but there is a loud noise that seems to be coming from a fan that I would like resolved. ADDITIONAL UPDATE: It's been over a month and still no response from the company. I just want to know if I can fix the problem myself. WAYFAIR PLEASE HELP. There is no reason to not have a contact for an issue. UPDATE: One of my units is starting to make a noise about every our or so. It's quite a loud buzzy fan noise. The other one is as quiet as can be. Anyone have this issue? Getting in contact with the company is not working. No response to email. There is no phone. If you research wine refrigerators you quickly realize none get stellar reviews across the board. Knowing this, and needing a specific size for a new bar area, we were even more limited. Pros: They (we bought 2) fit perfect. They are not noisy and we like how they look. The delivery was great and to be honest, we knew what we were getting into after reading many, many reviews on this. Best price we found after a lot of looking. Cons: (This is reflective of all the other reviews btw) The drawers are very flimsy. The spacing between the shelves is not really sufficient for wide bottles of wine so the trays lift off the rails when you need to get out a Pinot, for example. And, like every other review stated, you cannot, no way, get the 30 bottles they say in unless they are all very skinny. That being said, we knew all of this and it was our best option, at the best price. ($100 less than a big box store btw). We like them. They work great and do what they are supposed to do. When we opened the package we found that there was a dent to one of the corners and the doors aren’t level with one another which is a bit annoying. We are renovating our kitchen and this wine cooler was the “perfect perk” to make it special. It arrived perfectly packed. We let it settle for 24 hours before sliding it into a cabinet on the side of the sink. It takes a full 34” height and 12” wide so it fits as it should and you can level it as needed. We had electric at this location but still had an electrician install a separate outlet (plug is a 3 prong plug). We set the cooler at 58 degrees and let it sit overnight. Once we had a constant 58 degree temp we put our wine in and set the temp as desired. Be sure to let your unit settle for 24 hours after shipping, move it carefully, level it, plug into a 3 prong outlet (no extension cords), set temp and let unit cool empty overnight and then fill it up!. I researched wine coolers and beverage refrigerators for several weeks prior to Labor Day, hoping for a sale. I wanted to replace another brandname 30 bottle built in wine cooler I bought in 2005 and dearly missed it after I sold my Condo in 2020. Unfortunately for me, the cooler went to the buyer. I looked online for the same cooler and discovered it had tripled in price since 2005 and was no longer was affordable. Trying to locate a repair free cooler again was daunting but I think I found one that will give me future peace of mind. I read all the Wayfair reviews (plus many from other websites) and I am happy to say I may have struck gold. The Echostar wine cooler was packed in two boxes for added protection and it arrived 2 1/2 days after I placed my order online. Shocker! Although I was concerned I wasn’t going to be able to add some Craft beer cans at the bottom, the lower shelves angled out beautifully and were easy to remove. (That was why I considered getting the Echostar beverage refrigerator instead for $10 less. ) Irregardless, I was impressed that I can store sparkling wine, red and white wine plus some canned and bottled beer for guests without a hassle. The temperature factory setting was at 40 degreesF which I raised to 50degrees just to avoid any preventative defrosting or condensation issues. I figured I could always lower the temperature on an as needed basis when visitors arrive. So yes, I am very pleased with my purchase even if the Echostar was not on sale. Echostar’s parent company also makes two other brands of wine coolers which also have good reliability and performance reviews. That added to my decision making process. Eventually, I may add a new granite top and end panels to complete the built in look but for now, I am satisfied with the cosmetic looks. The fridge is quiet and I never hear the compressor kick on. The blue interior light illuminates when I open the door which I prefer but can be set to stay on if desired. The blue light softly fills my dining room at night like a nite light which is fine and doesn’t disturb me at all. I hope to have many trouble years with my Echostar wine cooler. Wayfair has treated me well in the past with my other expensive purchases and I trust in the company’s customer service department to stand by their products. Keep Shopping Wayfair everyone!. Gwen.
