I got this in the 1.5 qt. size and you can see what a standard 15.5 oz can of food looks like in there for scale. I've had this 3 years now and can say Tramontina's tri-ply is really good quality. I'm not sure why they don't seem to get as much attention as brands like Calphalon, but they should. I also have a Tramontina 8" tri-ply skillet and it performs really well, too. Seems very well made. I bought the 2.5 qt version. Comparing THIS to a couple other similar pots we own by T-Fal, Rachel Ray, Farberware, this Tramontinia pot seems to have a bit of an edge on overall quality. Wish this raspberry color was a tad more red..vs red brown, but still looks nice. Has a nice weight to it, and I bought this mostly because, it is NOT made in China..it's made in Brazil.
