We ordered this to top a 36” cabinet and to create a crafting space. The wood is absolutely beautiful. It does have some deep imperfections like in the photo, but still pretty. It is scalloped on both of the long sides so you have to be careful if you’re putting it up against the wall. We chose not to plane it to make it straight because the scalloping is very pretty. It measures between 30 and 33 inches depending on where the scallop is. It is a good inch to almost 2 inches thick. This would be perfect as a topper to a kitchen island!. Susan. Palm Coast, FL.
