This LG portable AC has honestly been a lifesaver during the heat. It cools my room quickly, keeps the temperature comfortable for hours, and runs much quieter than I expected. Have had for about a month and love it so much! The turbo was is quick and cleans really well. Sheets do take longer to dry if using the bulky setting but doesn't if you use the regular setting. This dryer is awesome. It seems like it takes longer than a normal dryer, but it really doesn't. We don't have to run it 3 times to dry towels. It can fit a lot of towels. It can dry our king size comforter with ease. It uses about 1/4 the power of our old normal dryer. It also is really good at removing pet hair from clothes. I purchased the LG LDTS5552S dishwasher and have experienced a persistent chemical odor since the beginning of ownership. The smell is difficult to describe precisely, but it resembles heated rubber, vinyl, petroleum products, or synthetic plastic. The odor becomes stronger as the dishwasher heats up and appears to be emitted from the lower vent area. The problem occurs even during normal operation without using the High Temp or Extra Dry settings. Over the past year I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the filters repeatedly, running cycles without detergent, using dishwasher cleaning cycles, and removing additional plastic accessories from inside the machine. None of these actions resolved the issue. The dishes themselves do not retain the odor, but the heated air emitted by the dishwasher does. The smell is strong enough to travel beyond the kitchen and can sometimes be noticed on the second floor of the house. After more than a year of trying to live with this issue, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether and returned to washing dishes by hand because I am not comfortable having my family continuously exposed to the odor. What concerns me most is that this odor appears whenever the appliance is heated, suggesting that materials inside the unit may be releasing volatile compounds into the air. I do not know whether LG has evaluated the long-term impact of breathing these emissions during routine daily use, but I believe this is a legitimate concern that deserves attention. I am disappointed because otherwise the dishwasher performs well. If LG is aware of this issue or has a solution, I would genuinely appreciate a response. I've had this unit for a year now and can attest to its reliability and performance. My condo has a small laundry closet and this is the only front-loading LG model that would fit. It is quiet and most of my laundry comes out clean and ready for the dryer. I find that the dryer actually works comparably to a vented dryer and it is easier on my clothes. My condo association discourages ventless dryers because of its prior experiences with water damage from leaks into other units which are not as much of an issue with the newer ventless technology. I love that I don't have to worry about pulling the unit out of the closet to periodically clean the dryer vent. My only issue is that sometimes laundry will come out with dry streaks indicating that the wash cycle was somehow not fully soaked the garments, even when stacked in the drum according to the manual. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my Bosch Benchmark dishwasher for a week now. And I'm quite annoyed that after it finishes, the light turns off and there is no indication that the wash completed successfully. Yes, I know I can check the app to confirm, but this is annoying to have to reach for my phone when my previous dishwasher simply had an LED that stayed lit to confirm the wash completed properly. Every day I use the dishwasher I'm reminded that Bosch would somehow rather save a tiny tiny amount of energy to shut the dishwasher totally off than leave a little LED lit to confirm that the wash completed. I have kids, and they need to know whether the dishes in the dishwasher are clean or dirty. Without this signal, it makes this harder than it should be. I'm all for saving energy and saving the planet, but not having a "successful completion LED" was a bad engineering decision. Next time, I will be more careful to buy a dishwasher with that feature.. I am so excited for this mini split unit. Getting a new central air conditioner is just not in the cards right now. This is a very affordable price for the amount of ac and heat that you are getting. Things of note, we had to buy a specialty drill bit to be able to install the units properly. We live in a brick house and needed to be able to drill through the brick. The lines that connect from outside to inside need about a 2 inch diameter hole to pass through. We also decided to buy a rack so that we could hang the main condenser above the ground. We were not able to install this by ourselves and had to call for reinforcements via an HVAC guy. Once everything is finished being installed I will update with the finished product! UPDATE: like others have posted, you will need a special HVAC vacuum to start the unit. You will also need special wire and a 220 outlet to connect to.
