This vintage 3x6 runner is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren.
Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, this particular piece enjoys an exciting take on checkerboard geometric patterns in vibrant colors. Connoisseurs may see an inspiration from Tulu rugs in sensibility, and admire Müren’s mid-century approach to the style. Though polychromatic, its colorway includes an especially rich burgundy red in the more present hues. It’s an exemplar of the funky, retro works in Müren’s repertoire that was so ahead of his time.
Further on the Condition:
This mid-century runner further enjoys a notably good condition and rare full pile we seldom see in this provenance.
