They are beautiful, bright white background. The pattern doesn’t quite line up but I think it adds to the more whimsical pattern. We used them in the kitchen for a backsplash and on the floor in the powder room. Originally the contractor grouted them white and I didn’t like that look, I like the grayish grout better. I purchased this tile based on it having better reviews than the same tile as my local big box store. Upon receiving the tile, several sheets had defects, chips or poor spacing between the tiles. The sheets feel very flimsy when you handle them, however, it doesn’t seem to matter once set in the mortar. The look is fantastic and exactly what I wanted. This tile is beautiful! I saw an example of it on a Pinterest post and instantly fell in love with the dark grout on dark tile! My installer appreciated that it was mesh-backed so he wasn't laying so many tiles and having to space them. This tile is gorgeous! It is a matte finish which I prefer better to the shiny. Very easy to walk on and you don’t slip if it’s wet. When you measure, make sure you order extra boxes. The measurements aren’t exactly what it says. A little smaller and you waste a lot making cuts.
