Ordered 2 at once. One arrived from New Jersey (?) in perfect condition, but the second shipped from TX never arrived. Customer service has been perfectly helpful for all FIVE (?) calls. A replacement (from TX) was ordered and arrived not boxed with corner protectors/top and bottom cardboard pieces completely damaged and unusable. A second replacement came (from TX) and arrived in even worse condition (both tops had screws missing and screw holes stripped so won't stay on with screws provided, cracks on all sides, dents, etc.). I asked for a return label so whomever can inspect and see how badly damaged they are coming from TX. Third replacement sent from New Jersey or maybe Virginia- I cannot remember. Arrived in perfect condition like the first did. Customer service could not be better, but I'd call to order this piece with customer service and beg that it comes NOT from Texas. Fits perfect under my desk for all my beauty products, but two flaw was that when screwing in the casters with the wheels the holes for the screws were drilled down for to put the screws to fit in properly, I couldn’t get it in smoothly as should so I had to push down for the screw to drill into the wood itself, and the cam lock nuts I received with the cabinet some came out bent and couldn’t be used to lock in the screw heads in, but either than that everything else fit so smoothly and perfectly.. Purchased this in black. Arrived with great packaging. No scratches or dents. Not super thick or heavy metal but will work for my home office. I was not able to add the casters as the wheels added height and it would not fit under my desk. So there is about an inch or inch and a half gap between the top of the file cabinet and my desk. The only complaint I have is the top drawer does not pull out all the way. There are several inches of space at the back of the drawer that can't been seen. Seems like wasted space. I like this filing cabinet. It's a good size for the stationery items and files that I need to keep, although I needed to carefully organize my things to get all of the stationery items to fit. I'm giving the filing cabinet four stars because the soldering on one side of the back was broken when I received it. I reported the problem to Wayfair, and they put me in touch with the manufacturer. What followed was several exchanges with the manufacturer, where they offered a discount if I repaired the problem myself. I give the manufacturer credit for their communications, for sending me an assembly guide and video on how to remove the drawers when I had trouble taking the filing cabinet apart, and for following up with me if I didn't answer them in a few days. However, I did get a bit annoyed with the several exchanges and because I didn't think that the filing cabinet could be repaired without soldering, which I couldn't do, so I thought that it needed to be replaced. They wanted me to put screws in to hold the back panel in place. I tried to put screws in, but I found that there were no holes in the metal. The manufacturer asked me to drill a hole but also said that they would understand if I couldn't or wouldn't drill holes. I tried, but I couldn't drill a hole in the metal, so I asked if the manufacturer could replace the filing cabinet, and they did. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see. Delivery was fine. The product not what we expected. Intensive assembly was needed. Instructions unclear. Instructions mentioned part numbers but the parts were not numbered. Instructions on a piece of paper with small pictures hard to match with product. We went to a nearby office supply store and bought an assembled filing cabinet with only the legs to be added. They said no one wants unassembled products like this. I can understand why assembly costs more than the actual product on Wayfair. We will not be using the Wayfair cabinet and will probably toss it.
