This is just what I hoped it would be - a solid rubber-like material to handle the 1.25-inch lip leading from my driveway into my garage. Warning: measure twice. I came up just a few inches short and needed a second order to get 100% coverage across the garage entrance. Why is this important - without 100% coverage, there would be a gap under the garage door where insects/vermin could enter. Also, if your garage door were to come down on this ramp, your automatic garage door opener's setting may cause the door to not close, but come back up, believing it hit an obstruction - so make sure you have the capacity and instructions available to adjust those settings. This was just what I needed to make it easy to prevent the wheels of my rolling laundry cart from catching up on the 1 1/4" high threshold of the doorway. Most of the other ramps are 6" or more deep which I feared could cause someone to trip when simply walking through the doorway. Installation instructions suggest cutting the ramp's edge to fit perfectly flush against the threshold and using adhesive to affix the ramp to the floor. I simply laid the ramp on the floor and it stays put when rolling the laundry cart through the doorway.
