But overall, the assembly was fairly simple, and the directions were clear and easy. We just used our new grill for the first time this past weekend. Out of the box, this griddle will NOT fit a Prestige 450, but I found it was easily altered to fit. As it is designed to fit the larger surface area of a Prestige 500, the rear spacer needs 1/4” cut off each side, and a small notch cut (see attached photos). The griddle is also too large front to back, but a couple of self-tapping screws along the back edge and inside the front lip of the barbecue prevent any movement. This griddle is really well made. Being stainless steel, there’s no seasoning needed - just clean with water after use to steam clean any food residue off. Well built high quality grill, however missing a magnet for door. I went on line and registered the grill and reported missing part,,,,never heard anything. Called them 2 weeks later said it would be sent out in 10 or so days,,,,I waited 20 days and called again, they said they are still on backorder and I should have them in 20 days.
