High quality item, but the top and the base (made of mdf) was dented (slightly misshapen) during shipping. Some kind of padding inside the box would have prevented that. Also the holes on the bottom weren't lined up - the base isn't squared up with the column. If I thought my cat would care about that I would have returned it. But she is happy with it, of course.
