If you try to buy this direct the shipping costs are outrageous. Just get it from Wayfair as it ships 10x faster and is actually cheaper when you account for the shipping costs of company direct. We ordered this to top a 36” cabinet and to create a crafting space. The wood is absolutely beautiful. It does have some deep imperfections like in the photo, but still pretty. It is scalloped on both of the long sides so you have to be careful if you’re putting it up against the wall. We chose not to plane it to make it straight because the scalloping is very pretty. Despite significant damage to the shipping box the bar top is 99.9 undamaged. There is a minor chip on the bottom edge not visible from the top. This is attributed to the outstandingly packaging that was done for shipping. This bar top and delivery has exceeded my expectations. A cabinet-grade plywood backing adds additional stability to ensure that your tables withstand the normal wear and tear of a restaurant. Each table top is a natural reclaimed wood product, providing additional character with some variation in color and texture based on the raw material available. The reclaimed wood table tops come with a water-based urethane Matte finish to make them easy to clean and keep yourself free of pesky splinters. These table tops are not recommended for outdoor use.
