This is a beautiful umbrella - great size for our sectional, very well made and raises with ease. We decided to drill the umbrella into a platform, as I do not think that the umbrella can hold up to wind when slanted to too much of an angle. Definitely do not fill the base with only water, as only a slight breeze knocked the umbrella over and I am glad we were not sitting under it at the time. Perhaps with sand this would have not been a problem though, which is our fault and not the company's. We had a very difficult time with the shipping: the tracking information was not updated and the delivery date changed several times. I will update this review after we stabilize the base better..
