I ordered 7. There is slight bulging at the bottom when the barrels are full. So use your water quickly. And remember to put away over the winter. This photo shows the barrel is 12 full and the bulge at the bottom is about 14 of the way down from where it was when the barrel was full. For water conservation in your community, we recommend you use our rain barrels to help conserve our natural resources. Our 52 to 60-gallon rain barrels are made of recycled watertight wine barrels that can also be used as a plant stand by simply closing the top of the barrel. At the rain collection area, a screened opening minimizes insect entry into the barrel while filtering debris from incoming water. An overflow socket, located at the top/back of the barrel, designates the direction of excess water to flow. It can be replaced with a hose to divert overflow to a garden or distant runoff area. All colors shown in the pictures vary since each piece is created from used wine barrels and each one we get is different. Each barrel comes with a silicone barrel bung, typically in white, but color can vary.

Wow. This rain barrel is better than we hoped for! After looking at all of the synthetic rain barrels, it was fantastic to find this authentic wine barrel, tinged a little bit pink from the Red wine that had fermented in it. It even smelled sweet upon arrival! A little modification to add a tighter mesh at the top to keep mosquitoes out, and it was ready to go. It filled quickly from the gutter with the first rain and now we are able to water our flower boxes right next to it with ease. The spigot at the bottom works great, and it was easy to attach a hose to the overflow pipe at the top to direct the runoff.  We will be looking for a second one soon! . Annette.
