The product arrives in two long, flat boxes. The packing was sufficient for the most part except for the triangular pieces that are part of the roof. They were dented and scratched, but I didn’t think it was worth my time and trouble to try to have them replaced, so I pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet. The flaws are visible, but not as bad as how they came. Each piece of metal is covered with plastic film that should be removed before assembly, which takes a lot of time and patience, but once removed the metal surfaces are very clean with a good coating. Assembly definitely requires two people and several hours since there are over 300 screws, but once assembled, the structure is very solid. I was impressed with the engineering. All of the screw holes lined up and the instructions/diagrams were easy to follow. I built a wooden deck with 2x6 treated joists and treated plywood for the floor and screwed the base to that. Only things we want to note is 1) as you can see in one of our pictures, one of the legs on the ottoman have a skewed floor protector blocking half the hole for a screw so we assembled that on leg with out a screw (which didn’t seem to impact the rest of the set up) 2) the left arm rest module seems to be warped as is wobbles a bit (nothing a little cardboard can’t fix). I purchased the color brown and it does look as pictured on the site. The variation in color is hard to discern from tile to tile, until it’s on the wall. Once up, you can see all the slight variation. Even though the color is brown, in my option it leans to a cool town brown. Champagne Bronze faucet finish looks good with it as well as nickel. This chair is solidly built. Weight capacity is 300 lbs. The cushy seat and sloping back are padded upholstery sewn with subtle channels. Channel tufted upholstery gives the chair a polished look while still keeping its cushiness. The welt-cord details add a sophisticated look. The durable faux leather is super easy to wipe down!!! Both the black and brown are kind of modern matt tones with only quite a light sheen, not tacky at all!

I would give a 10 if I could. I have a bad back and so finding a chair that is comfortable for both short and long periods of time is crucial. This chair is amazing! It hugs just right at the bottom of the shoulder blades and but is designed with a slight flair so as you recline a bit it to adjusts to hold your back without you feeling stiff or in a position that isn’t real. We actually like that they provide the ability to have dinner and then if we choose continue at the table with conversation or even games for long periods of time thereafter.
