So far so good, they appear to be as shown on the site. The boxes, (x3) were not heavy. They appear to be thick. I will have a better feel for them once they are down, and the floors have been installed. My nephew absolutely swears by them and he installs floors. Everything they claim plus more!I was looking for the best underlayment product money can buy and found this product. It had been recommended by a friend that used it and a professional installer also insisted upon it. I also took the time to read the reviews and I called the factory for additional information. I had a previous 1000 square foot carpeted cement floor and the carpet needed replacement. we liked the look of vinyl but knew we would need a good underlayment. ECF is that product and more. Waterproof with a vapor barrier, cushioning effect but not spongy. The easiest product to ever put down. Lays flat. a unique way of attaching to each other making for a perfect fit and easy to cut and shape where shaping is needed. It seems a bit pricey but consider the long term use it provides it is really not meaningful. Having the best underlayment is the most important consideration when putting down any flooring. We were looking for an easy-to-clean flooring option for our chicken coop, as the uneven wood planks of our 1850s barn have proved difficult to shovelsweep. Have not used this yet, however, it looks like it will do the trick! I wanted something that was not too thick but not cheesy thin either. It has tape as well on it so it has decent adhesion. It also has a lip around the outer perimeter for overlapping so there are no uncovered areas. Awesome product, especially if you are utilizing as an underlayment, in order to lay down LVT (Luxury Vinyl Planking. It also has excellent insect repellent capability, sound deadening qualifies and insulating characteristics. Since they come in 2’x3’ sheets they are easy to manage. I would suggest stapling down instead of gluing down. Best to use a pneumatic staple gun to nail down in corners, in lieu of glue. You really don’t want those toxic fumes in your home.. Marty. So we decided to redo the floor on our basement and get rid of the carpet and turn only a 300 square foot into gym corner so I really like the foam we chose it's really bouncy and it has like a silver foil underneath and a strip of adhesive to hold the sections. Now we're just waiting on the laminate to place on top to finish the area. Very happy with it however air it out for like 1-2 hours it has a rubber smell it goes away tho.. Gina.
