I bought this faucet trim for its modern style. It's a little larger than I expected, and it does not come with a shut off valve, as many of them do not. But after calling around I finally found the one that goes with it and everything is working fine. If my budget was larger, I would have chosen an entire shower trim set that was very expensive and more sleek. But this was a middle ground that I found pleasing. I would recommend this product. Worked great for our circa 1900 farmhouse remodel in Monterey Ca. Product performed very similar to MDF and was easy to install. A few boards came dented and were quickly replaced by my sales rep at. As the designer I was happy with the look and feel and will not be painting the product. My carpender used a nail gun to install the boards and finished the nail holes with white silicone. NOTE: They do not match up exactly as the sizes are off my 1/4". I will use a glass door and trim out the points they join to fool the eye into not noticing the break in horizontal lines..
